Field Theatre Group

    The Field Theatre Group was founded in 2004 with the aim of
    bringing professi
    onal quality arts and cultural experiences to the community of Littleport. 

    Participation is open to all, regardless of age, experience
    and background.

    Our participants in Littleport alone number well over 1000 people, and many of these are repeat participants. 

    We employ professional directors, facilitators, artists and technicians whenever possible to provide our non-professional community participants with exciting and memorable experiences.

    We in The Field have delivered large- and small scale community arts projects and performances, exhibitions, and installations creative writing projects, films and heritage projects to communities across Fenland. 
    We have delivered high quality community learning in schools and with community organisations of all kinds.
    We have worked in partnership with local groups such as churches, schools, Rotary, WI, Parish Councils, art and history groups.

    The Field's pledge to safeguard the well-being of all our participants  

    • All our practitioners are DBS checked.
    • Our projects, productions and activities are conducted in compliance with our rigorous Health and Safety procedures.
    • Our Equality and Diversity (Equal Ops) policies and procedures are regularly reviewed and updated.
    • We have Child Protection and Vulnerable Adult safeguarding policies and procedures in place.
    • We adhere to data protection legislation.

    In 12 years of busy community work we have received grant funding from numerous funding bodies.
    Including HLF (3 grants), ADeC, East Cambs District Council, Grass Roots, Awards for All, Littleport Rotary and Littleport Parish Council.

    Our project partners and associates have included: Millfield CP School, Littleport Community School (2 projects) ADeC, Ouse Washes Landscape Partnership, Ely Museum, Wisbech Museum, Prickwillow Drainage Museum, The Adams Heritage Centre, Young People, Littleport, Cambridgeshire Libraries and the Heritage Lottery Fund.

    The Field Theatre team of arts and heritage professionals have over a decade's experience in project leadership, management and delivery.

    Every single one of our projects has been completed on time and in budget!

    Community inclusion is the cornerstone of our work, and community involvement is vital to the ongoing success of our projects.
     
    Harnessing the camaraderie of working together is an excellent way to strengthen community bonds. 
    Facing challenges together helps us grow.

    It's also a great way to make new friends ! 

      

    We pride ourselves on providing a multi-generational platform for residents of all ages to meet and work together. In doing so we believe that we help to develop a valuable rapport which benefits older residents and young people alike.
